About the Trail
The Radotín Municipal Office has created a new Radotín Educational Trail, an 11‑kilometre route that runs through the catastral area of Radotín as well as parts of Kosoř and Lochkov. It welcomes both locals and visitors to some of the most beautiful places in the surrounding landscape.
The trail passes close to the Klapice Nature Reserve, the Černá rokle /National Nature Monument/ the Orthoceras Quarry (Nature Monument), and continues through the protected areas of Radotínské skály (Nature Monument) and Slavičí údolí (Nature Reserve). Along the route, visitors will find two wooden shelters with seating, 18 information panels and 19 interactive elements not olny for children.
- Work on the Educational Trail is still ongoing. We've been adding benches and in 2026 new interactive features.
The concept of the educational trail brings together information from Radotín’s prehistoric and historical periods, as well as its present and future. The themes relate both to the district as a whole and to the specific locations where each information panel is placed. It also covers nearby small‑scale and large‑scale protected areas. Because the topics are so extensive, each panel presents only the most essential points, while additional, more detailed texts and graphic materials are available online via QR codes.
Visitors can look forward to a total of 37 stops along the route (18 information panels and 19 interactive elements) within 11 km long trail with an overall elevation gain of 330 m.
